have been teaching and practicing Reiki as an Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master since
1988.
My specific Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki lineage is as follows: Mikao Usui
--> Chujiro Hayashi--> Hawayo Takata--> Phyllis Furumoto--> Florance
O'Neal --> Mathew Eliot --> me. I joined the Reiki Alliance in 1989 and am
currently a member.
I have also trained in Jikiden Reiki, a Japanese form of Usui Reiki, and I am fully certified Jikiden Reiki Shihan or Teacher associated with the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyu Kai or Jikiden Reiki Institute in Kyoto, Japan. My Jikiden Reiki lineage is: Mikao Usui--> Chiujiro Hayashi--> Wasaburo Sugano--> Chjiyoko Yamaguchi--> Tadao Yamaguchi --> me. Chiyoko Yamaguchi began studying Usui Reiki from Chujiro Hayashi in 1938 when she was just 17 years old. She took the Shoden (level 1) and Okuden (level 2) from Dr. Hayashi. Chiyoko Yamaguchi was attuned as a Shihan Kaku and as a Shihan by her uncle Wasaburu Sugano with Dr. Hayashi's permission. Chiyoko Yamaguchi practiced and taght Usui Reiki for 65 years until her death in 2003. Mrs Yamagushi and her son Tadao Yamaguchi founded the Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai (Jikiden Reiki Institute). The Japanese word "Jikiden" means "directly handed down". Tadao Yamaguchi and Jikiden Reiki Shihans teach Jikiden Reiki worldwide. I learned all levels of Jikiden Reiki directly from Tadao Yamaguchi. How to you choose a Reiki Teacher to take Usui Reiki seminars from? I suggest that you can rely on those teachers who can with integrity trace their lineage back to Mikao Usui, who offer straight-forward, stand alone, no-nonsense Reiki classes and who have a long-standing commitment to Reiki. I offer both Jikiden Reiki seminars and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki seminars.
