The second level of Usui Reiki is for those 1st Degree Reiki practitioners who wish to deepen their experience of and commitment to using Usui Reiki in their lives. Typically in Usui Reiki there is a wide range from 1 month, 6 months, 1 year and even many years between Usui Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 training, as readiness for Usui Reiki 2 is individual.  I personally took Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki 2 training one month after my 1st Degree Usui Reiki Class and I highly recommend the intensity back-to-back Usui Reiki training for Usui Reiki 1 & 2 to my students and generally schedule my Usui Reiki 1 classes so that a Usui Reiki 2 training is available within a month or less of completion of 1st degree.

The 2nd degree Usui Reiki class includes one additional initiation or attunement by the Reiki master and instruction in and discussion of the conscious use of the three Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki symbols that amplify the harmony, synchronicity, flow and intensity of the transfer and embodiment of Usui Reiki energy. These symbols enable the 2nd degree student to send energy treatments  through space and time.

The traditional seminar fee for Usui Reiki 2 is $500.  No one should ever be discouraged from asking for Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki 2 because of current financial lack  or shortfall. Exchanges will always be considered for the remainder of the seminar fee. Be creative! Make a proposal! Cancer patients and cancer health care providers and staff are especially invited to take any Usui Reiki 2 workshop.

Usui Reiki 1 classes may be repeated an unlimited number of times for the nominal audit seminar fee of $50 per class. Usui Reiki 2 Classes may be repeated an unlimited number of times for a $100 audit seminar fee.

What is essential in the Usui Reiki 2 initiation is the coming! together in time and space of symbols and an initiating master capable of opening the energetic essence of Usui Reiki 2 within the Reiki student.

How do you choose a Usui Reiki master for Reiki 2? In general we highly recommend Usui Reiki masters who are members or former members of the Reiki Alliance.  We also suggest that you can rely on other Usui Reiki masters who can trace their lineage and in particular their mastery directly back to Hawayo Takata.  These are usually masters who offer straight-forward, stand alone, single level, no-nonsense, in-person Usui Reiki classes, and whose commitment to Usui Reiki is long-standing.  I have been a Usui Reiki master since 1988.
